Delving back into some images from my time in the Canadian Rockies.
The light show on this particular morning was extremely intense. The peaks lit up a and a small rainbow briefly appeared. It was a mad rush to get to this nearby location and find a composition I was pleased with before the show was over!

Well I am now back from my little road trip throughout Northern California with Neal of Spool Photography. It was a great trip and we got to shoot many stunning locations. The main locations for our shoots were the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Lee Vining, the ghost town of Bodie, Mono Lake, and Yosemite National Park.
I am now off to Montreal for a week, mainly just to relax and have a look around. I am also hoping to catch some of the Autumn colour while I am there, so I may just have to get the camera out from time to time. 🙂
I have not yet had the opportunity to go over any of my images from the US trip, but will do when I get back from Montreal.
Below is an image I shot a little while ago here in Alberta, it is one of my favourite locations to visit early morning. This was taken when we were getting the first few mornings of frost in the valleys. I really want to shoot the same scene when it is snow covered and under some beautiful morning light. A few clouds here and there would be really nice too 🙂
For the time being this image will just have to do.
I went for a walk around the area I am staying in Canada. It is a quiet little town. I love it. On my walk I stumbled across this neat little cemetery at the bottom of the hill I am living on. Like the town the cemetery is only small.
Walking through any cemetery is a little bit creepy. So when I approached the cemetery gate on this cold overcast morning I was a little bit apprehensive. I opened the rickety gate and started to make my way along one of the main pathways with gravestones on either side. Then……….. In flew a “murder” of Ravens. They came in and landed on the gravestones surrounding me, squawking/crowing at me as if to say get out of our territory. It sent shivers down my spine. Creepy experience.
After composing myself and deciding to ignore the Ravens I managed to take a few shots. It is an interesting place and i`m sure I will shoot there on a number of occasions.
Here is one from that morning….
I am working from an uncalibrated macbook so I am unsure if my image adjustments are what I want them to be. Hopefully get an external monitor sometime soonish.
