Seeking Solitude
I recently took of on a one week road trip covering some of the south of Western Australia. I had been surfing google earth and noticed this area from the satellite images. With a full moon due for January 9 I decided to head to this location as I thought the moon rising over the expansive area may make for a good image.

I really like how you processed this shot and colors you drew out. Did you use Photomerge to stitch the two images together or something more specialized like PTGUI?

Thanks Mark and Andrew
Andrew, I used photomerge as it was a pretty simple stitch. I use the shift function on the tilt/shift lens so the images end up aligning perfectly. Could have done it manually just as easily. Thanks for stopping by

This is real nice Luke, I love the simplicity of salt lake images and this is simplicity at it’s best. I’m going to head back out to the lakes around Southern Cross again this winter as I think they are some of the best in WA.
Still shooting D3x ?

Thanks Peter. Yeah I haven’t made it out there yet but hope to at some point. Not shooting D3X anymore, I sold that quite a while ago now.
